Life is a Gift Art Auction @ Tompkins on Swan Function Centre

Description: 42 of WA's artistic heavy weights and emerging artists have donated 60 pieces of art that will all go under the hammer to raise funds for The Telethon Adventurers and their fight against childhood cancer. Pieces for every budget with prices expected to start from $100.

$15 entry also gets you a complementary drink and finger foods. Bar facility.

The Telethon Adventurers are hosting this Art Auction with all proceeds raised Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research.

Various Artists from the Mundaring Hills area

Description: 9 professional artists inviting visitors into their studios to see how and where we work, watch different disciplines in action, join in some of the processes. Judy Kotai's beautifully transcendant paintings and stained glass, Greg Crow's patterned ceramics, Joel Smoker's timeless ceramics, Graeme Pages-Oliver non toxic printmaking and demo, Jeremy Holton's vibrant paintings, Willen Heyneker's unusual jewellery, Inta Goddard's paintings, sculpture, wall pieces, flexible mould making, Brian Aylward's impressions of WA, Neil Elliot's delightful paintings.

Description: Five emerging artists from diverse backgrounds in Iraq, Africa, Europe & rural Australia explore the theme of migration to Perth, WA and bring together their unique perspectives through a range of media including painting, print and textiles.

Event Title: Saint Mark's Anglican Community School Art Show.

Description: Saint Marks Anglican Community School will be holding our 26th Annual Art Show on the weekend of 14th - 16th October 2011. Opening night will be Friday 14th October. This will be held in the school hall located at St Mark's Drive Hillarys. Opening night begins at 7.30pm - 10pm where fine art works from renowned Western Australian artists will be available for viewing and purchase. Opening night tickets will be $25 each and this includes wine, canapés, a catalogue and music. This year's theme is Our Beautiful Country - Strength, Love, Unity. Peter Ryan will be our guest artist and his paintings have a truly Australian feel to them. Our three feature artists will be Cher van Schouwen, a skilful painter, Philomena Masters who is a talented glass maker and Carmen Cilliars who will exhibit some of her paintings from her Urban Safari series.

The St Mark's Art Show will also be open to the public on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th from 10am - 4pm. This annual event is a fund raiser for the school and we warmly invite the public to attend. Anyone interested in pottery, sculpture, jewellery and fine paintings will find the St Mark's Art show a fabulous event.

Dates: 14/11/11 to 16/11/11.
Opening Times: Opening night 7.30 - 10pm. Saturday and Sunday 10 - 4pm.
