Description: More than 40 artworks from the City of Melville are on display
at Heathcote Museum & Gallery in COLLECTED: Selected works from the City of
Melville Art Collection.

Melville's Art Collection represents a significant cultural and financial
investment for the City and a record of its history and change through
artistic interpretations. The City of Melville Art Collection began in 1962,
one year after the 'Shire of Melville' was established, and has grown to
include over 300 works in 2015.

COLLECTED presents a diverse selection of key acquisitions from the
collection; from a watercolour painting of the Swan River circa 1870-90 to
contemporary works by leading Perth artists including Eva Fernández, Noel
Morrison and Ben Sherar.

On Saturday, 7 February 2015 at 1.00pm, five of the local artists whose
works will feature in the exhibition will host a free afternoon talk and
share their unique arts practices, creative journeys and experiences with
the public. All are welcome..

Dates: 24 January 2015 to 1 March 2015.
