Description: The seventeenth Mandorla Art Award for contemporary religious
art will take place from 18 to 27 July 2014 at Linton and Kay Galleries in
Perth CBD.

This exhibition showcases the 2014 Mandorla Art Award finalists, including
entries in the Mandorla Youth Art Award.

Also on display are works from the New Norcia Art Gallery, never before
exhibited in Perth CBD.

The Mandorla Art Award is Australia's most significant thematic Christian
art prize. The Award employs a thematic inspiration defined by a quotation
from the Bible that changes with each exhibition. In 2014 artists have
interpreted the theme 'Elijah meets God' in figurative and abstract forms
through various media.

Artworks featured in the exhibition are available for purchase and visitors
are invited to vote for their favourite work in the Peoples Choice Award.
Free exhibition tours, starting at 3pm, will also be held on the weekends
(19 and 20 July, 26 and 27 July).

In partnership with the New Norcia Museum & Art Gallery, several major
eighteenth century European paintings from the New Norcia Art collection
will be on display at Linton & Kay during the Mandorla Art Award exhibition,
shown in Perth for the first time.

A selection of Mandorla Art Award artworks will then be exhibited at the New
Norcia Museum and Art Gallery from 2 to 17 August 2014.

Dates: 18 July 2014 to 27 July 2014.
Opening Times: Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 11am - 4pm.
