Description: Cherry is an Archibald prize winner who has artworks in many
important Australian art collections, including the Art Gallery of NSW, the
National Gallery of Australia, Artbank, and several regional art galleries.
This is Cherry¹s first solo exhibition in Perth.

She has become well known for her haunting, large-scale images of young
boy¹s faces. In the last year she has started to add girls faces to her
repertoire but adolescent boys, with androgynous features, still dominate
each exhibition.

Description: Garry is a realist painter whose work over the past ten years
has critiqued the iconography of consumerism. Early paintings depicted
crushed soft drink cans and cigarette packaging, recording society's waste
on a heroic scale. These paintings were followed by his hugely successful
series of 'deli' paintings, in which he recorded the disappearing icon that
is the corner shop and the local delicatessen....

As part of the FotoFreo 2008 Fringe Festival, 'drei' is a series that looks at the power of storytelling and the fictions that can be created by images.
