Graeme Pages-Oliver @ Kidogo Art House

Event Title: My Inner Tree.
Participating Artists: Graeme Pages-Oliver.

Venue:
Kidogo Art House,
Bathers Beach, Mews Road Fremantle.

Description: An exhibition of drawings and limited edition prints by Graeme Pages-Oliver.

A weekly journal of thoughts, feelings, ideas and travels expressed as a tree.

Fifty two black and white drawings compiled in 2011 that reflect a roller coaster ride of feelings set in the west Australian landscape ranging from Albany in the south to the Kimberley region in the north.

While the delicate pen and ink line drawings become the centre piece of the exhibition many of them have been transformed into limited edition prints. Like the drawings, the prints are basically black and white with the introduction of some soft atmospheric colours, mostly in the sky.

The prints are created using a combination of digital, and screen printing techniques onto acid free water colour paper. The black line work in the prints is further enhanced with the use of a publishing technique to raise the ink above the surface of the paper, creating a three dimensional shiny black line.

A preview of the fifty two drawings can be seen on YouTube at http://youtu.be/MeilUfWome0
or on the artist web site at www.pajez.com.au

Dates: 15 March 2012 to 21 March 2012.
