Description: As Artist in Focus, Caroline Lyttle reflects on life
experiences through the lens of the garden, using paint and mixed media.
In her current art practice, she ponders spiritual aspects of life through
the cycles of life, death, rebirth and personal growth, drawing upon her
connection with the natural world - especially her love of the domestic
garden - for symbolism and imagery. While primarily a painter she enjoys
the freedom of creating with a variety of media and processes.
Lyttle will host painting workshops during her Focus, bookings through
Mundaring Arts Centre.

Sandie Schroder, Nick Statham @ Mundaring Arts Centre
Event Title: Fire Works
Participating Artists: Sandie Schroder, Nick Statham
Venue: Mundaring Arts Centre,
7190 Great Eastern Highway (corner Nichol Street) Mundaring
Description: Responding to their bushland environment and the ever present
threat of bushfire, pyrography painter Sandie Schroder and fine wood worker
Nick Statham found a commonality in their purpose through the elements
within our natural environment, with each artist controlling and
manipulating these elements through their artistic techniques. Schroder
creates her work by burning cotton paper to express vulnerability and beauty
while Statham's background in landscape architecture, design and his love of
wood is portrayed through his natural and geometric sculptural forms.
Dates: 30 September 2016 to 6 November 2016.

Description: Call for expressions of interest. Closing date: Friday 25
November 2016.
Contemporary artists working in a broad range of all art forms (including 2
& 3- dimensional, multi/new media and installation art) are encouraged to
submit their expressions of interest for selection.
The Bunbury Biennale is a state wide contemporary art event and is the
second oldest Biennale in Australia. The aim is to attract the best of
Western Australian contemporary art and to acquire new works to expand the
existing City of Bunbury Art Collection.
Entry fee: $35 (non-refundable)
Entries can be submitted online: www.brag.org.au
Dates: 8 July 2017 to 10 September 2017.
