Description: Kirsten Sivyer's latest exhibition 'Gallery Collection and New
Work' showcases prints, collectables and new works in photography and

Kirsten's latest paintings are a development of her WA Wheatbelt fire and
smoke series from 2013, one of which won the Albany Art Prize People's
Choice Award that year. The new works are bold, atmospheric and ethereal;
inspired by the effects of fire and smoke on the WA landscape.
The 2013 series of fire and smoke images have been reproduced as a series of
framed prints which will be on display along with a selection of landscape
photography.

Description: You are invited to an exhibition of oil paintings by Brian Carew-Hopkins "Wheatbelt to Kimberley".
"Wheatbelt to Kimberly" draws on the inspiration of Western Australia's vast natural beauty, with scenes from the artists boyhood home in the Western Australian eastern wheat belt, and scenes from more recent travels to the Kimberly with his young family.
The official opening event will be on Friday 12th September at 6.30pm, at 45-47 Tyrell St (Cnr Elizabeth St) Nedlands. It will be opened by Deputy Premier Hon Dr. Kim Hames.
After the opening event, the exhibition will be open daily from 3pm to 5pm, until Saturday 20th September.
Perth artist, Brian Carew-Hopkins, spent much of his youth on a farm in rural Western Australia. He started painting in his middle teens and has painted irregularly since, occasionally exhibited, and won several prizes. After studying and completing his MBA at UWA, Brian had a successful career in International trade, and it is only in the last few years that Brian has turned his attention again to oil painting. Brian is married with three children and lives in Robinson Street, Nedlands.

Art X West - Projects - ABC Arts
ABC Arts and ScreenWest have teamed up to showcase some of Western Australia's most exciting artistic talents. Art X West is a new project which brings five short films about five artists to audiences exclusively on abc.net.au/arts and ABC iview. As well as celebrating the State's wealth of creative talent, this initiative provides a fast-paced platform for young filmmakers to tell local stories about local people in new and interesting ways.

Description: Administration is just Oulipian Poetry is a significant solo exhibition by Western Australian born, Melbourne-based artist, George Egerton-Warburton. Inspired by the rule generated poetry techniques of the Oulipo, a group of French and Italian writers and mathematicians in the 1960s, the artist draws on personal anecdotes to translate traumatic and banal everyday experiences into sympathetic structures. A large architectural intervention will see carved pieces of the gallery walls suspended from a sprawling 7 metre mobile, an exploration of the ways in which our creative energies and small artistic gestures have the power to affect the balance of power. Egerton-Warburton‚s interconnected installation will see the gallery filled with paintings, videos, sculptures and the scent of rain on dirt, as it collectively forms a sensorially charged, contemplative environment.

This new, live audio-visual work will be premiered by West Australian trailblazer Kynan Tan in a one-night only concert. Two years in the making, perspectives [temporal] is a unique occasion to see and hear how Kynan Tan masterfully intertwines sound and image. Hijacking PICA's vast main gallery, this double projection, multi-speaker synaesthetic composition deliberately confuses and resets the real and imaginary networks that surround our waking and sleeping lives.
Using and testing the limits of a massive sound system in the acoustic environment of PICA's double height gallery, Tan will undertake a live exploration of the transference of light and sound energy into physical realms, immersing the audience in a powerful sensory experience.

This new, live audio-visual work will be premiered by West Australian trailblazer Kynan Tan in a one-night only concert. Two years in the making, perspectives [temporal] is a unique occasion to see and hear how Kynan Tan masterfully intertwines sound and image. Hijacking PICA's vast main gallery, this double projection, multi-speaker synaesthetic composition deliberately confuses and resets the real and imaginary networks that surround our waking and sleeping lives.
Using and testing the limits of a massive sound system in the acoustic environment of PICA's double height gallery, Tan will undertake a live exploration of the transference of light and sound energy into physical realms, immersing the audience in a powerful sensory experience.
