Description: A group of Curtin University distance art students, separated by some 4000km across three Australian states, have collaborated to present their first exhibition at the John Curtin Gallery.
The exhibition features four artists from WA, ACT and NSW who met online and obtained a Curtin Guild on Show grant to bring the project to Perth audiences.
The artists, Nancy Lanario (Warwick, WA) and Vicky Small (Dunsborough, WA) Virginia Walsh (Barton, ACT) and Rosalind Bonser (Avoca Beach, NSW) explored unique aspects of their local environments in their artwork, resulting in the creation of four large scale textile-based wall hangings, and smaller vessels made from fibres, free-machine embroidery and ceramics.

Dates: 17 September 2010 to 15 October 2010.
